Something tells me it was University Sound who made the system used in Viet Nam. IRC, 16 drivers on a single horn. Would take a long time for me to find the magazine...

You are confusing two different products.

University made I think a 12, 16, and even a 24 driver horn. Just plain ain't what I was talking about.

Buncha El Cheapo screw on drivers, louder than stink and sounded like it too.

I am talking about Giant Voice systems. Way more expensive and way clearer.



And no, University had absolutely nothing to do with the big systems hung from helicopters. They were powered by custom built solid state amps. I saw a couple being built, no way to confuse with the University, it's a toy by comparison.


Went over to unofficial, remembered Todd had a couple TL's on the Giant voice stuff, but the links are not working.

GPA does have a sales lit partial for the stuff. Only pic is 3 multicells in an array with dual 290's

The two systems I saw being built were 203's in a radial configuration each with dual 290's.
